I'm Manu.
I find why people buy, then make ads that say it.

Customer research, angles, hooks, direct-response scripts and briefs, tested at volume on Meta. Below: real ads I ran with real numbers, DTC brand ads I made at Trifid Media, and spec work built for TrySpartan and FurLife.

04How I work

  1. Research

Reviews, Reddit, comments, support tickets, the ad library and the brand's own data. AI does the first pass over thousands of reviews, I read the best ones myself.

  2. Desires, problems, objections

Written down in the customer's own words, ranked by how often they show up.

  3. Angles

One insight per angle. Every angle names the desire or objection it hits.

  4. Hooks

10 to 20 hooks per angle across formats: UGC, founder, demo, us vs them, listicle, testimonial.

  5. Scripts and briefs

Beat-by-beat scripts and briefs an editor or creator can shoot without a call.

  6. Feedback

Timestamped notes to editors and designers: what to cut, what to hold, where the hook lands late.

  7. Test, read, iterate

Concept first, then hooks, then formats. Thumb-stop, hold rate, CTR, CPA against target. Kill fast, iterate winners.

  8. Document

Every test goes in the log: hypothesis, result, decision, next test.

05Spec work for 115 Ventures

What they want

  • Keep the hair they still have. Stop the slide more than grow a new head of hair. "This line of products has kept my hairline in tact. Instead of continuing to thin out I can truly say I have not lost any hairline since I started using the Spartan products." -...
  • Hide the crown. The thin spot you only see in photos from above. "I've struggled with thinning around the crown for years... the visible scalp became much less obvious." - Michael H., 48 . Live ad headline: "Is your crown getting harder to...
  • Be noticed by family. Other people seeing the change is the real proof. "Around month 6 is when family members started noticing the difference." - David C., 49 . "I'm seeing results and so is my family." - Dave N, Trustpilot
  • Thicker, stronger-feeling hair and a scalp that feels clean. "Now my hair is even thicker than what it used to be." - Cristian Perez, Trustpilot . "The shampoos smell really nice and really seem to strengthen the hair" - Tiago, Trustpilot
  • Any sign of regrowth, even small, matters a lot to older buyers. "At age 75, any sign of new growth is a plus." - Jack & Jamie, Trustpilot 4-star . "Yes, its actually making a gradual comeback (Im 67 yrs, BTW)." - Carlo Tanori

What hurts

  • Gradual thinning at the crown, temples or hairline that sneaks up on them. Site headline: "Struggling with thinning hair, bald patches, or a receding hairline?" . Live ad: "Maybe you first noticed it in the mirror. Or in a photo taken from above."
  • Already tried other products with no luck. Burned before. "I've tried several things with no luck." - tboneisahotdog; "I've used the watermans grow me shampoo and conditioner and never noticed a single change after around 4 months" -...
  • Fear of prescription side effects pushes men toward non-drug options. "I know the only 2 FDA approved meds for hair loss are minoxidil and finasteride but I'm hesitant about using finasteride due to sexual side effects." - Euphoric-Peak3361
  • Results are slow and hard to judge, so people lose faith mid-way. "The early results are promising, but inconclusive. Good things take time." - Doug Prinz, Trustpilot 4-star . "has it regrown any hair? Well, that's hard to determine." - Jack &...
  • Itchy or greasy scalp for some users. "My head would itch so bad and the hair loss continued" - tboneisahotdog; "it actually makes my hair look greasy" - tonymunsell

Why they don't buy yet

  • "It doesn't work." Strongest objection. Many 1-stars say no change after months. "Used it for over a year and nothing has changed." - Michel T., Trustpilot 1-star . "It's snake oil." - u/asm9900
  • "A shampoo can't do anything, you rinse it off." Category-level skepticism from hair-loss communities. "No shampoo has any scientific proof of helping aga, you wash it out minutes later." - Federal-Formal3538
  • "The guarantee is shorter than the time it takes to work." Ads say 90 days, testimonials talk about month 6-12. "The catch is that the product needs months of use before you can tell whether it works, but the 90-day money-back guarantee starts the day it's delivered" - Dan W, Trustpilot...
  • "They'll auto-ship me and I won't be able to cancel." Subscription and refund distrust. "THIS CO AUTO SHIPS WITHOUT PERMISSION." - Steven Martello . "One shouldn't have to monitor their credit card religiously to make sure that they don't receive products they don't...
  • "It's a scam / the reviews and before/afters look fake." Proof skepticism, often triggered by the ad itself. "I too when I first saw the ad on Instagram, thought it was a scam like others posting." - Carlo Tanori . "Testimonials are fake, before/after photos are fake" -...
  • "It's not for me, I'm too far gone." "Tbh is is not for current bald men... This is for men that are recently noticing slight thinning or receding. It seems to be working fine for me 3 months in." - Father_Murder ....
  • "The checkout feels pushy." Long unskippable upsell videos. "ANNOYING lengthy videos which give no opportunity to skip." - Michael Keough, 4-star . "they immediately make you sit through a dumb video AFTER the purchase goes through" -...

What their ads say right now

My read

1) Ad delivery is the problem before creative performance is. With the main page's ads flagged for Advertising Standards, the first job is creative that passes review on an owned, clean brand page. That means "thicker-looking", "supports scalp", honest timelines and real customer voice, not "blocks DHT", "regrow" or "77% less shedding". 2) The current hook (crown in a photo from above) is strong and worth keeping. 3) The biggest conversion leak is trust: refund, auto-ship and fake-review fears are all over Trustpilot and Reddit, and the hero product page shows placeholder content "Lorem ipsum" reviews, "HEADING", men's-health benefits like "SUPPORTS HEALTHY TESTOSTERONE LEVELS", beard-oil FAQs, and both "30-DAY GUARANTEE" and "90-day guarantee" badges). Creative can pre-empt these objections, but the page has to match.

Landing page

shop.try-spartan.com is a quiz-result style sales page "Hair Profile Matched: Here is Your Hair Growth Plan") with three dermatologist quotes and strong claims: "Blocks DHT", "Visibly reduces shedding by 77% in under 90 days", "Results that rival $900 hair clinics", "reduce DHT levels up to 73%". The FAQ answers on that page currently reference a different product "Forge - Wrinkle Defense Tallow Balm").

Other channels

An advertorial on TechTimes "Spartan Shampoo Reviews: Must Read Before Buying...") with affiliate links and a "Mark D, 42" testimonial. A product handle "root-activator-shampoo-tts" suggests a TikTok Shop listing (not verified). Customers describe long post-purchase upsell videos.

4 angles

The Month-6 Truth

Spartan's own best reviews say people noticed at month 6-12, while the 1-stars come from guys who expected weeks. Say the slow part out loud and you win trust and sell the 6-month bundle honestly.

Objections: "it doesn't work", "guarantee too short", "reviews look fake". Desire: family noticing.
Not Ready For Pills

Men researching hair loss know about finasteride and are scared of the side effects. Spartan is the no-prescription first step they can start tonight in the shower.

Motivation: non-drug first step. Objection: "is this a drug?" Problem: fear of side effects.
Keep What You've Got

Happy customers talk about holding the line, not miracles. Target early thinners who just saw their crown in a photo, and be upfront that it is not for fully bald men.

Desire: keep hairline, hide crown. Objection: "I'm too far gone" (pre-qualifies, cuts refunds).
The Shower You Already Take

No new habit, just a swap. Show the tingle, the smell and the lather so the routine feels real and doable, 4 times a week, 2-3 minutes.

Motivation: low effort, sensory feedback. Objection: "another complicated routine". Counters "adds 3 minutes to my shower" by framing it as a ritual.

  6. On-screen: "2 minutes. 4 times a week. That's the whole routine." DemoOn screen: Macro lather shot on scalp with a 2:00 countdown timer overlay.
  7. On-screen: "3 things nobody tells you before you buy a hair-growth shampoo" ListicleOn screen: Creator counts on fingers. 1) It takes months. 2) Use it 4x a week, not when you remember. 3) Don't start if you're fully bald.
  8. On-screen: "His wife wrote this review, not him." then quote: "After about 6 months or a little longer he saw baby hairs on the top of his head." Testimonial (partner)On screen: Woman's hands typing on phone, couple in kitchen. Source:

Production-ready brief

StatusSPEC WORK - not commissioned by TrySpartan
TitleCreator brief: The Month-6 Truth
ObjectiveGet new customers for Root Activator Shampoo 2.0 bundles on Meta (Reels, Stories, Feed) with ads that pass Meta review on an owned brand page and pull buyers toward the 3 and 6-month supply. Secondary goal: fewer "it didn't work in 4 weeks" refunds by setting the right timeline up front.
AudienceUS men 40-65 with early thinning at the crown, temples or hairline. They have tried something before, are wary of prescription side effects, and are skeptical of ads. Secondary: partners who buy for them.
AngleHonesty sells. Tell them it takes months, show the simple routine, let real reviews do the persuading, and close on the bundle plus the 90-day guarantee.
Hook options
  • "If a hair shampoo promises you results in two weeks, scroll past."
  • "The photo someone took from above. That's when I saw my crown."
  • On-screen review: "Around month 6 is when family members started noticing the difference." - David C., 49
  • "3 things nobody tells you before you buy a hair-growth shampoo"
  • "Don't buy this if you're already fully bald."
Must show shots
  • Top-down phone photo of the creator's crown (real, unedited, no filters)
  • Bottle in hand with the SPARTAN label readable
  • Macro lather on the scalp with fingers massaging, 2:00 timer overlay
  • Simple routine graphic: 4x a week, 2-3 minutes
  • A real Spartan review on screen (site or Trustpilot), quoted word for word
  • Bottle in the shower caddy next to normal shower stuff (it replaces, it doesn't add)
  • End card: 3 and 6-month bundle prices, "Up to 66% off", 90-Day Money-Back Guarantee badge
Talking points
  • Brand timeline: visible results after 8-12 weeks; best results after 3-6 months of steady use
  • Routine: shampoo 4x a week, massage 2-3 minutes, rinse
  • Plant-powered: ginseng, licorice root, rosemary, caffeine, peppermint, menthol
  • No pills, no prescription
  • Best for early thinning, not for fully bald
  • Bundles up to 66% off; the 6-month supply is $21.65 a bottle on the current offer page
  • 90-day money-back guarantee
Do
  • Use "thicker-looking", "fuller-looking", "supports scalp health"
  • Quote reviews exactly, with first name and age as shown on the source
  • Say timelines honestly (8-12 weeks, months not days)
  • Film in real homes with natural light. Phone-shot, not studio
  • Burn in captions. Most people watch muted
  • State the guarantee only as the refund policy words it, and get ops to confirm before saying "no questions asked"
Dont
  • No "regrow", "cure", "stops hair loss", "blocks DHT", "77% less shedding" or "rivals $900 clinics". These are the kinds of claims that get ads flagged
  • No before/after photos unless they are real, consented and documented
  • No fake doctors, white coats or "dermatologist" talent who are not real, credentialed and on contract
  • No knocking specific drugs or brands by name
  • No fake urgency or countdown timers that reset
  • No "results in weeks" promises

2-week test plan

StatusSPEC WORK. Thresholds are standard Meta DTC rules of thumb, to be swapped for TrySpartan's real target CPA and history.
Day 0 setup
  • Claims check: run every script line against a do/don't claims list before filming. Track ad approval as a KPI.
  • Run on an owned, clean brand page and ad account. No borrowed pages.
  • Fix the landing page first: remove placeholder content on the Shampoo 2.0 page and make guarantee and shipping badges match (90-day vs 30-day; $35 vs $70).
  • One testing campaign (ABO, one ad set per angle) and one scaling campaign (CBO or Advantage+). Optimize for purchase. Broad targeting, US men 35-65+.
Test orderConcept first, then hook, then format. Angles decide whether the ad works at all; hooks only decide how many people see the good part. Do not test hooks on a losing concept.
Week 1
WhatConcept test. 4 angles x 2 ads each (one UGC video, one static) = 8 ads.
Budget logicEqual budget per angle. Each ad needs about 2x target CPA in spend before a call. Example only: if target CPA were $60, that is about $120 per ad, about $1,000 for the week.
ReadPick 1-2 winning angles by CPA first, then CTR and hook rate as tie-breakers.
Week 2
WhatHook test on the winning angle(s): 5 new hooks on the same body = 5-10 ads. Plus a small format test on the top angle: UGC vs listicle vs founder vs static (4 ads).
Budget logicAbout 70% to hook tests on proven bodies, 20% to the format test, 10% to one wild-card new concept so the pipeline never runs dry.
ReadWinners graduate to the scaling campaign with the post ID kept, so social proof carries over.
Kill rules
  • Hook rate under 20% after 1,000 impressions: kill the hook, keep the body
  • Hold rate under 20% with a good hook rate: hook works, body is boring. Re-edit, tighten the first 10s
  • Link CTR under 0.7% after 1x target CPA spent: kill
  • No purchase after 2x target CPA spent: kill
  • CPA over 1.5x target after 3+ purchases: kill
  • Any ad rejected: pull it, log the exact line that triggered it, fix the claim list
Scale rules
  • CPA at or under target with 3+ purchases: move to the scaling campaign

This pack focuses on: Hero product = FurLife 12 Months All Natural Flea and Tick Tag (pendant) for Dogs. Chosen because it carries the most reviews (18,702 on the site widget) and most of the active Meta ads. Colostrum+ and Imprint are newer lines (ads started late Oct 2026) and deserve their own pack.

What they want

  • Protection with nothing on the skin and nothing to swallow "I feel so much better not giving her anything by mouth for this." (Linda G., site review)
  • Set it and forget it, for a long time "put on there collar and no worries.my pup hasn't had any bugs .2 years now." (Trustpilot, 28 Oct 2026)
  • Freedom to let the dog be outdoors (woods, yards with deer, hikes, swims) without fear "even with multiple deer in our yard daily, I've only ever found 1 tick on the surface." (Wendy, Trustpilot)
  • One simple answer for the whole multi-pet home, dogs and cats "Ive got a cat and a dog now. I love the collar for both of them now." (Harris, Trustpilot)
  • A comfortable pet that is not scratching "No fleas, none... But she doesn't even scratch." (Pat B., site review)
  • Bonus: fewer mosquitoes and biting bugs "It also keeps mosquitos away." (Ruth B.)

What hurts

  • Constant flea and tick pressure in wooded, rural or warm areas; picking pests off by hand "I live in a very wooded area" (Mary Smith, Trustpilot)
  • Bad past experience or guilt with chemical treatments "I don't like giving my dogs a bunch of chemicals and have seen the reactions I dogs I have had, in the past!" (Thea T.)
  • Expectation gap: buyers with an active infestation expect a cure, the product is sold as prevention "it's sold as PREVENTATIVE not a solution to a problem. None of the videos I've seen say that." (Trustpilot 1-star, 8 Aug 2026)
  • Pod pops out of the holder during play "I just found the pod on my floor again. Second time it fell out." (Maureen B.)
  • Scent seems to fade well before the 12 months "It was only 4 1/2 to 5 months old when it quit working." (Karen F.)
  • Strong smell for some buyers (others love it) "This product was very strong smelling right out of the package." (Trustpilot 1-star)

Why they don't buy yet

  • Is it actually safe for my pet (and my cat)? "Literally poison to dogs. Dont buy." (Trustpilot 1-star, 8 Sep 2026)
  • 12 months from one small tag? Sounds too good "You said it was up to 12 months and it wasn't even close." (Karen F.)
  • My dog already has fleas, will this fix it? "They make it look like it will help solve a flee problem." (Trustpilot 1-star)
  • Will it survive my dog (puppies, rough play, small breeds)? "Puppy teeth can go right through it." (Toni B.)

What their ads say right now

  • Main flea/tick template, many video cuts (0:10 to 2:21) on dog and cat versions, start dates May to Oct 2026: 'Protect your four-legged friend! In the fur of your tail-wagger runs a lot of unwanted vermin such as ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes that are harmful...
  • The same copy also runs from pages named 'InnerVet' and 'DailyBark' (their ad links pointed to getfurlife.com) and as creator partnership ads '_jchawkins_ with FurLife', 'Family Finds for Less with FurLife'). Ownership of InnerVet and DailyBark not confirmed.
  • Second template: 'Seeking a chemical-free way to protect your dogs from fleas and ticks?' with code TICKFREE; static green graphic 'DISCOUNT ENDS TODAY!' showing the tag in hand and icons '100% natural', 'No side effects', 'One size fits all', '12 months...
  • Visual hooks seen in thumbnails: flea dirt on a white grooming table with a doodle; text hook 'The worst thing about owning a cat is fleas'; woman putting the collar on a cat with 'up to 24% OFF' code card; offer card 'BUY 2 SAVE 55%'.

Gaps I'd go after

  • Copy fatigue risk: one body copy carries most flea/tick ads across months and pages. Phrases like 'tail-wagger' and 'unwanted vermin' read like a literal translation. Native US-English, customer-voice scripts are an open lane.
  • No ad sets the 'prevention, not treatment' expectation, while 1-star reviews say 'None of the videos I've seen say that.' Wondercide does this on its PDP. Saying it in ads should filter bad-fit buyers and cut refunds.
  • Offer mismatch across the funnel: ads say up to 60% / 24% / 55% off with TICKFREE, advertorial says 50% ($24.99), listicle says 32%, PDP shows $39.99 with 10-15% tiers and a stale Halloween countdown on 2 Nov. Price shock between ad and PDP can kill...
  • Ingredient mismatch: pendant PDP lists citronella, cedarwood, lemongrass, peppermint, geranium, rosemary. A Meta ad says 'Lemon Oil and Lavender' (Library ID 1651981372762803), the advertorial says citronella and lavender, the listicle lists camphor,...

4 angles

The Switcher

Most buyers are not new to flea prevention, they are quitting a monthly routine they felt bad about; the win is 'nothing on the skin, nothing to swallow, clip it once'.

Desire: no chemicals on skin or by mouth. Motivation: safety for pet and family. Objection: 'is it safe?'
Prevention, Not Rescue

The 1-star pile comes from people who bought it mid-infestation; an ad that says 'don't buy this if your dog has fleas today' earns trust, filters bad-fit buyers and protects refund rate.

Objections: 'does it work?' and 'my dog already has fleas'. Builds trust against the 'is this legit?' doubt.
Tick Country

The most believable proof is from owners whose dogs live where ticks are (deer in the yard, woods, Arkansas, pond swims), specific places beat 'game-changer'.

Objection: 'do essential oils really work?' Desire: outdoor freedom without the nightly tick hunt.
One Clip Per Pet

Multi-pet homes already buy in multiples, and the $40 free-shipping line plus 10% off at 2+ makes 'one for every pet' the natural order, lifting AOV.

Motivation: value and convenience. Desire: one simple system for dogs and cats.

Production-ready brief

Concept nameTick Country
ProductFurLife 12 Months All Natural Flea and Tick Tag for Dogs
ObjectiveFind a new prospecting winner on Meta for the hero tag that beats the current control (the 'Protect your four-legged friend' template) on CPA, using real-owner proof instead of brand claims.
AudienceUS dog owners whose dogs spend real time outside: wooded or rural homes, yards with deer, hikers, lake and farm dogs. Secondary: multi-pet homes (dog + cat). Mindset: already does tick checks, uneasy about monthly chemicals or has had a bad experience, skeptical that natural works.
AngleProof from tick country. Show the place, the dog's real outdoor life, and the tag that rides along. Let the location do the persuading.
Single takeawayPeople whose dogs live where ticks live keep reordering this tag.
Hook options
  • If your dog lives near the woods, look at this collar.
  • The 10pm tick check. Every. Single. Night.
  • Multiple deer in her yard every day, and she's found one tick. This is Wendy's review.
  • Our poodle's only tick in years was the week we took this off.
Must show shots
  • Wide: home or yard with a visible tree line, tall grass or trail (establishes 'tick country' in 2 seconds)
  • Tag macro, then a one-take clip onto a real collar (show it takes seconds)
  • Thumb pressing the pod fully into the holder (correct fit)
  • Dog doing real outdoor stuff: trail, creek or pond swim, rolling in grass
  • Tick check: hand parting fur, finding nothing (no live insects in close-up)
  • Phone showing real reviews on getfurlife.com
  • Two tags on a table (bundle) and the PDP bundle selector
  • If there's a cat at home: cat wearing the cat version
Talking points
  • Where you live and why ticks are a fact of life there (be specific: state, woods, deer, lake)
  • What you used before and why you wanted nothing on the skin and nothing to swallow (no brand names)
  • How it goes on: clips to any collar, stretches to fit
  • It's waterproof, so swims and baths are fine
  • One tag is made to last 12 months
  • Honest line: it's prevention, so start with a clean slate, and you still do your tick checks
  • Offer: $39.99, or $35.99 each for 2+, free shipping over $40, 30-day money-back guarantee
Do
  • Shoot vertical on a phone, natural light, real home and real dog
  • Talk like you're telling a neighbor, not reading an ad
  • Use 'helps repel', 'protects', 'prevention'
  • Name the place and the dog
  • Burn in captions (most people watch muted)
  • Keep the offer exactly as the live PDP shows it on shoot day
Dont
  • Don't say it kills fleas or ticks, cures or prevents any disease (no Lyme talk), or is 'vet approved' / 'guaranteed tick-free'
  • Don't name or trash competitor brands
  • Don't mention ingredients not on the pendant PDP (no lavender, lemon, camphor)
  • Don't show rough tug play or puppies chewing the tag
  • Don't use graphic close-ups of ticks or flea-covered skin (ad rejection risk)
  • Don't invent reviews or use customer names without permission
  • Don't use countdown timers or 'today only' unless the live offer really ends that day
Deliverables
  • 1 hero edit, 30-45s, 9:16 (Reels, Stories, TikTok-style placements)
  • Same edit in 4:5 for Feed
  • 3 hook variants on the hero (swap only the first 3 seconds)
  • 1 x 15s cutdown (hook, clip-on, proof line, offer)
  • 1 static: best frame + one review quote + offer line (1:1 and 9:16)
  • Raw footage and an SRT caption file
  • Naming: FL_TAG_TICKCOUNTRY_H{1-3}_UGC_{9x16|4x5}_v1
Success metric
PrimaryCPA at or below the account's target CPA (set with the media buyer) after at least 2x target CPA in spend
Leading indicatorsThumb-stop rate (3s plays / impressions) at or above account median, starting guide 25%+; hold rate (ThruPlays / 3s plays) 20%+; outbound CTR 1%+
NoteGuides are starting points only; replace with the account's own medians after week 1.

2-week test plan

Pre launch hygiene
  • Make the offer match from ad to PDP (one code, one % off, one price) and remove the expired Halloween timer
  • Align the ingredient list across ads, advertorial, listicle and PDP
  • Remove placeholder text from the adv-2 advertorial
  • Lock a naming convention and a test log before the first ad goes live
Sequence logicConcept first (what we say), then hook (how we open), then format (how it looks). Hooks and formats only matter once a concept proves it can sell.
Week 1 concept test
Days1-7
What4 concepts (The Switcher, Prevention Not Rescue, Tick Country, One Clip Per Pet) x 3 hooks each = 12 ads, all UGC 9:16, same offer and landing page.
StructureOne testing campaign, one ad set per concept (ABO) so each concept gets the same budget. Broad US targeting, same optimization event (purchase). Keep the current control running in the scaling campaign as the benchmark.
Budget logicAbout 20% of total spend goes to testing, about 80% stays on proven winners. Each concept ad set gets roughly 1x target CPA per day, so by day 7 each concept has had about 7 CPAs of spend to prove itself. Example only: target CPA $40 means $40/day per concept, $160/day testing. No budget changes in the first 72 hours.
Hypotheses
  • Prevention Not Rescue lowers CPA and refund rate because it filters out mid-infestation buyers
  • Tick Country gets the best hold rate because place-specific proof is more believable than generic claims
  • One Clip Per Pet raises AOV because the 2+ tier crosses free shipping
Week 2 iteration
Days8-14
WhatTake the top 1-2 concepts. (a) Hook test: 5 new hooks on the winning body, about 10 ads. (b) Format test on the single best concept: UGC talking head vs. faceless voiceover B-roll vs. 15s cutdown vs. static review card, 4 ads. (c) Landing test: winning ad to the PDP vs. to the adv-2 advertorial, 2 ads.
Budget logicMove the losing concepts' budget into the hook test. Winners graduate to the scaling campaign as new ads (do not edit live winners).
Kill rules
  • Spend reaches 1.5x target CPA with 0 purchases: kill
  • Thumb-stop under 20% after 2,000+ impressions: hook problem, swap the first 3 seconds, keep the body
  • Good thumb-stop but hold rate under 15%: body problem, re-edit pacing and cut the slowest beat
  • Good hold but outbound CTR under 0.8%: CTA or offer problem, make the offer clearer and earlier
  • Good CTR but CPA over 1.5x target after 2x CPA spend: landing page or offer mismatch, check the price shown in ad vs PDP
Scale rules
  • CPA at or under target with 3+ purchases and 2x target CPA spent: duplicate into the scaling campaign
  • In scaling, raise budget 20-30% every 48 hours while CPA holds within 10% of target
  • If CPA climbs 25%+ for 3 days in a row, or frequency passes about 3 on prospecting: start the next iteration round (new hooks on the same body)

Seasonality noteTesting starts in November, when flea and tick demand is usually lower in much of the US. Judge concepts against each other, not against summer CPAs. Customer reviews point to year-round use in warm states 'we live in Arkansas and have them almost year round!'), which can inform geo or copy tests.
